ABOUT ME

Early Life

Born and raised in Manchester, Kylie began Ballroom Dancing at the age of 7 at a local dance school. Recognised immediately as a huge talent, by the age of 10 she was encouraged to form a partnership and just 1 year later they win at the most prestigious Championship of the year, becoming the Open British Juvenile Ballroom Champions, as well as International champions later that same year.

This early partnership went from strength to strength and by 12 years of age they had moved up the ranks to become the Open British Junior Ballroom Champions, an accolade that they went on to win for a record breaking 4 consecutive years, an accomplishment that had only ever been achieved once before.

During the partnership they were invited to travel to Japan to appear on the TV programme “World’s most talented Children” and back on home soil appeared on “Blue Peter” and “What’s up Doc?”

At the age of 16 Kylie formed a new partnership which became equally as successful as her first. Together they went on to travel the world competing and performing at the highest level, resulting in them becoming Twice World, British and UK Champions as well as European and International Champions.

Kylie and her partner were invited to appear on a host of TV shows and movies including, but not limited to, “They think its all over”, “The Generation Game”, Hollywood blockbuster “Entrapment” as well as performing live for Elton John’s lavish 50th Birthday Party and in Monaco for Prince Albert of Monaco.

Retirement!

In 2002 Kylie retired from competing and was quickly approached to appear on the first season of “Strictly Come Dancing” where she was partnered with the comedian Jason Wood. Kylie went on to appear as a guest judge for the children’s programmme “Help! Teach is coming to stay” and later that year performed live with Mark Ramprakash at The Tower of London in a promotion for Ford.

Whilst dancing Kylie had regular Pilates classes and it was during this time that she developed a love of the technique and how it helped improve posture and balance. In 2002 Kylie studied with the Pilates Institute and qualified as a Pilates teacher with a level 3 Diploma, this now forms an integral part of her business alongside teaching Ballroom dance to a numbers of schools and private clients.

Kylie now lives in Surrey with her husband and 2 children.
